Supporting volunteers, netball and our tiniest community members

The diversity of the Geelong community is one of the highlights of the work we do at Geelong Connected communities. Every month we support a range of organisations and groups, all contributing to making our region a wonderful place to live.

Reflecting on some of our most recent grants, we’re proud to have been able to support some causes and programs with grants that empower them to enrich and improve the lives of local people.

Take Tiny Dots. They focus on assessment of babies and toddlers for developmental delays, helping with early intervention programs that drastically improve outcomes for children and provide parents with support and options.

We also helped send a legendary team from Leisure Networks to the All Abilities State Netball Titles in Melbourne. They played, smiled, laughed, competed, were cheered on by families and friends and most importantly, they had loads of fun.

The Nigeria Association Geelong end of year event brought together many members of the community to celebrate and connect with each other over food, music and festivities. It was our pleasure to provide a grant to help showcase the event.

The Volunteering Geelong awards recognised outstanding service and contribution of the many volunteers in our community. We were pleased to support the event and were on hand to help present the awards, which reiterated what a wonderful community we’re part of when so many people give freely of their time, energy and expertise for the community.
